Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso is a Spanish painter who was born on October 25 1881.  Picasso started figure drawing and oil painting lessons with his painter father when he was 7. By the age of 9, he'd finished his first painting, it was called Le picador.

Picasso moved to Paris when he was nineteen and became famous for being the founder of cubism. Cubism is an early 20th-century style and movement in art, especially painting,using simple shapes.

Picasso spent most of his adult life in France. Picasso just wasn’t famous for being founder of cubism he also was very famous for his art, sculpture, and poem. His most expensive art was called Pablo Picasso’s nude which is $106.5 million dollars.

Picasso died on April 8 1973 but he was still very famous for all of his artwork.

The Gala

On Sunday 8th of November I went to the C.S.N.S. Gala day it was really fun. There were concert games and lots of food! I did the smash palace and it was amazing I also brought lots of muffins!

The Holiday

 In the holiday I went to the cinema and watched Inside Out. I really wanted to watch Pan but my dad said my little sister couldn't watch it because she was too young. I still liked Inside Out.

The Mind Lab

On Tuesday 22 September 2015, I went to Mind Lab in Petone. My favourite part in Mind Lab was making stop motion animations. It's a photo that you take a couple of time while you are moving the character in your video so it seem like they are moving. Here's my video.

Ricoh!!!

On Friday 28th of August, there was the Ricoh tournament and I was one of the netball player. In the Ricoh tournament there are four games if you win the third one your team is in the finals and thats exactly what happen to our netball team. We got to the finals and competed with Cloverly (School), Unfortunately we lost. On Monday in the morning our school found out we won the whole Ricoh tournament because we came second so much and our soccer team came first!!!

A chance of winning lotto

“ Yes, I’m so going to win the lottery, only one more number!” I said enthusiastically, my eyes still gazing at the TV. “ And the last number is……. five! Don’t worry about the X’s at the end, if you have all the numbers, you are our winner!” The man in the TV explained. “ No!!!” I shriek, “I didn’t win the lottery again.”

I dragged my feet to the couch and sank in it. Every single time I buy a ticket I never win.

Thump! Something was sitting on me. I got up slowly but, surprisingly it was only my dog Muffin, she was a white husky that love to go outdoors and chase cars.

She started licking my hand and pulling my clothes. I suddenly remembered that I didn’t have dinner yet. I got up and went into the the kitchen. I opened the fridge, and it was completely empty. Nothing was in it nothing at all. I decided that I have to go out and buy more food. So I hurryed up and ran outside with Muffin still following me, and then FINALLY I found a shop that is still open.

In front of the there was a big sign that said “Hank’s dairy” and another sign that said “ Buy a lotto ticket and you might win……..”. I walked in I was so hungry that couldn’t even be bothered to read the rest of the sign. I bought a frozen spaghetti and I walked to the man that I expected to be Hank “ Do you want to buy a lotto ticket too” Asks Hank “ Whatever ” I said carelessly throwing some money on to the counter “I’ll take that as a yes” said Hank beaming. He gave me the ticket and I ran back home with Muffin.

The next saturday came very quickly, that was the day when they reveal the winner of lotto

“ No chance for me” I said to myself sadly. I sat on the couch, and the TV turned on mysteriously but……… I was actually sitting on the remote “ Welcome to lotto.This is our 1 million dollar winner, for today the first number is six” said the man in the TV suddenly. Muffin came into the room with something in her mouth I pull it out. It was the lotto ticket and the first number was six.

“ The rest of the number are 457 890 573 XXX, don’t worry about the X’s at the end if you have the rest of the number you are our winner!” explain the man in the TV.

“The last number is three do I have three?!” I said excitedly “ No!!!” I scream, Muffin started licking the ticket, I look at it again and it was the number three at the end there was chocolate on the ticket making the number three look like the number 7, and I finally realise that I won the lottery!

 Start of term three!

For the start of term three our integrated unit was businesses. We got into groups and made a business, at the end we decided that we could get into our own group and make a business that wasn't in the market yet. We're gonna have a lot of fun planning something brand new!

How to play the dinosaur game( FOR FREE!!!)

    How to get to the game:

1. Firstly on your computer find the wi-fi logo.
2. Secondly click it and it should come up with turn wi-fi off. Click that.
3. Open a new tab and search anything up and it should come up with this: 

Click the space bar and the dinosaur game will come up

How to play:

1. The whole point of the game is to jump over the cacti and get the high score.

2. If you want to jump click space bar.

That is how you play the dinosaur game!!!

The water was dark green, Jimmy swam down deeper and deeper but he still hadn’t reach the bottom . Now he was running out of breath, he try to swim up but he couldn’t. Jimmy just couldn’t reach the surface, as he look

around panicking he could see light coming out of a hole! and it’s not that far away from him ,he swam until he reached it, he went through the hole, quickly swimming to the surface. “ I survive!” Jimmy said happily while he start to climb on a log by the river.

As he started to find shelter he realise that he could hear something behind him .It crawl faster and faster it jumped out a black hair boy who looked at Jimmy like he was a monster, t jumped on him and tie him with a rope Jimmy tried to get out but he couldn’t the rope that was tied around him was too tight .He was drag into a cave that led to a beautiful valley .

In the valley there was aqua blue stream, the black hair boy untie him.

Suddenly out of no where a helicopter landed in a blank space on the right side of the valley a man came out he have mustache and he was wearing sunglasses, he came closer to the black hair boy the black hair boy ran away to a woman that is probably his mother.

The mustache man came closer to jimmy and said “ Sir please come with me” in a cool tone voice “ No” Said Jimmy loudly and clearly. Everyone gasp, the mustache man looked like he got slap in the face

“Fine we’ll do it your way” Said the man furiously he clap his hand, three more man came out of the helicopter they tied jimmy with a weird looking rope and Jimmy got pull into the helicopter. The helicopter flew above the valley and it fly away.

The helicopter landed an hour later in front a tall building Jimmy got pull out he got drag into the building and into a room the mustache man locked the door and he untie Jimmy “ Sit” said the man cleary ,Jimmy stand “I said sit” the man said again his temper rising, Jimmy was still standing “ or you could be tie in that rope again” Said the man smiling a little ,Jimmy sat down  “ What do you want” Said Jimmy “ You were the guy who fell of that plane right?” said the man looking curiously “ Yes” Said Jimmy confidently “ I guess you’re saved” Said the man smiling widely.

The Mud RUN!

3 2 1 jump! I jumped into the mud. The sticky mud submerge over my feet, I quickly pull my leg out. I climb onto the island huffing ,saying “that’s was terrible under my breath”.

Suddenly, a voice  came into my head. It sounded like the person was saying ‘‘ If you think that’s terrible try looking at this” As I look up, waiting to see something even worse…… My jaw drop my ,heart gave a thump.

This time it was mud but it was 1000 time worse , the mud wasn’t sticky anymore but now it’s …...watery! Smelly ,and deeper than ever!

As I dip my feet slowly in the mud. I turn around “ Do I have to do this” I said nervously begging for the person to say “No”. “ Yes” the man said loudly and clearly, my heart gave an even harder thump.

I jump in “ Why didn’t I come in the mud slowly” I wondered to myself, while I was starting to sink. I swam up, struggling to breathe. I swam across the watery mud trying not to sink, as I look at the island ahead, I just knew I couldn’t do it , I gave up I start to sink.

Suddenly a hand grab me, it pull me up. I couldn’t really see because of all the mud in my eye, so I walk on.“ There’s the finish line ahead” I screamed happily. I look down, MUD will I survive?

Dear family,

Today we landed in Gallipoli. We landed on a narrow stony beach, far from anywhere else. As I sprinted out of the boat with my gun tightly in my hand . “Bang!” a loud bang echoed across the shore and everyone went quiet ,and then I realise the war had started . Thousand of bullets shot through the air, I ran as fast as I could to hide behind a rock .I could see soldiers falling down ,but I know if I run to help them I would get shot as well.I peered over the rock my gun still tightly, I waited until the there was a way to get into the trench that the Aussie and the kiwi built for safety. I crawl slowly on the ground trying not to be shot , some soldiers were looking at me like there was something wrong one of them pointed in the air . I look up ,it was a bullet someone must have shot it .

I crawl faster and faster trying to get away from it. It miss,

suddenly one of them pointed in the air again ,and all of them look up there’s was something wrong I knew it, a bullet was coming straight at me. It was come so fast I knew I couldn't escape I close my eye tightly waiting for the bullet to hit me “bang!” the bullet hit me right in my leg.

I fell down, the pain submerge down to my feet I was lying there ,I don’t know what I suppose to do or will stay alive. Suddenly something touch me it carried on it back, as I tried to open my eye’s (which I couldn’t ) I could only see blurry green, I close my eye’s slowly ,and I was asleep.

I open my eye trying to get up, it felt like I was in bed . my leg was in cast and it doesn’t hurt anymore and then I realise that I was….. save!

I could finally go home.I will come home in a couple of days.

Dear Mr Kennedy and Miss Holder

Today I had heard that you were concerned about grill managing our own learning, but actually I think when we manage our own learning our classroom is better then ever!

Firstly, if you walk in our classroom looking around and seeing people sitting in different places, you might think that we’re not actually working but you’re wrong!

We are working , we’re managing OUR OWN LEARNING!

Secondly, we must manage our own learning because ,we need to learn for the future by ourselves and, we could get a chance to have fun while we are learning.

In grill our goal this year is to manage our own learning ,do you really want to stop us  from doing that?

How to be a successful kayaker at camp green pastures

Material:

Togs.

Life jacket.

kayak.

paddle.

Adult to watch over you

Steps:

1.Firstly put on your togs.

2.Next put on your life jacket.

3. Get your kayak into the water (probably a lake or river)

4. Choose a paddle and get into your kayak.

5.Put one side of your paddle in the water

(Do not use the bumpy side of your paddle).

6.Use both sides of your paddle. If you don’t you will spin around.

7.If want to go forward paddle both sides.

8.If you want to turn left paddle the right side.

9.If you want to turn right paddle left.

10.If you want to go backwards, flip your paddles and paddle backwards.

11.If you’ve have enough hop out carefully.

12.Take your life jacket off .

13.Help put the kayak away.

And that how to be successful kayaker at camp green pasture have a lot of fun and…..NEVER STAND UP WHEN YOU’RE KAYAKING!!!!!! (You’ll thank me for it later) Thanks for reading this!!
